Compere the Difference 

Between 1980 and 2018.

Looking back to some of my eighties paintings I could not see much difference then to what was doing then, to what I am painting now. a few of my artist friends also had the same opinion.

Needing a new project I have planned to revisit the work that was done, and paint a similar picture  in the same medium I used for the one done in the eighties. 

 This was copied from a Raphael painting called  Balddassare Castiglion
The idea was to try out a new technique of  blending the graphite with mineral turps brought from Bunning's along with a bottle of Graphite.
This picture was done in 1989 and there has been  no signs of it detracting.
It is hangs in a frame on the wall opposites the front door.
I have yet framed anymore painting that has this  technique used on it.
I now use graphite  minus the turps, but it is still an option.
